Kouturekiss - Eye Poppers Using White And Black Liner To Make Your Eyes Pop

Who doesn’t want bigger looking eyes? Unfortunately a lot of women don’t apply eyeliner correctly, making their eyes appear smaller than they really are. The key is to make your top lash line appear thicker and the whites of your eyes seem larger. The purpose is to open up your beautiful eyes, not enclose them.

  1. Gather your tools (see above).
  2. Start off by curling your lashes with an eyelash curler. Curl them from the base moving it to the middle of your lashes to get that perfect curl. (more…)

Kouturekiss - Bye Bye Eye Bags Conceal Away Those Pesky Circles

Been up all night? Then it’s probably time to break out the concealer! Trust us, if you use it correctly, no one will notice that you didn’t get a wink of sleep. If you have “monolids” like me, “bags” won’t be that visible. But for everyone else, your bags will be darker and more puffy the under eye area than normal. However, I do need to use a concealer to even out color. Many people struggle to cover bags up, but you just need to follow these steps and you’ll be saying “goodbye” to those dark pesky circles forever!

  1. Choose a concealer that is one shade lighter than your foundation and skin tone to create a brightening effect. In the picture above I’m using the Maybelline 24 hour super stay concealer. (more…)

Kouturekiss - The Copper Smokey Eye For The Green Eyed Girl

Colored shadows can be tricky to work with, but you can’t go wrong with shades of brown and copper since it works well with practically every skin tone and eye color. Browns are great for everyday wear since the natural shadows of your lids are a brownish red. Eyes are the first thing people notice; make them clean, defined, beautiful and not too distracting. You want people to notice you, not your heavy makeup so here’s a way to give your eyes that bit of pop it needs without being overdone. This is a great basic everyday look that can be changed up easily and worn for any occasion.

Step 1: Start with clean eyes and apply primer all over the lid up to your brow bone. Elf Primer is a great alternative to Urban Decay’s Primer Potion. For only 1 dollar compared to a 20 dollar primer, it’s a must have.
Step 2: Apply a red toned brown shadow all over the lid up to the crease with a wide blending brush. Mac’s Brown Script is matte and has great pigmentation with no fallout. (more…)

The Glitter Dipped Mani

Filed in: Nails, Tutorials

Go for the ultra glam look and let your nails do the talking with glitter tipped nails. It is super simple and with a few speedy steps you’ll be ready to show off this unique mani!

  1. Paint your nails a solid color for your base. Make sure your solid-colored mani is fully dried before moving onto step two.
  2. The top coat/clear polish will be your “glue” base. Stroke the top half of each nail with a thin layer of clear polish. With your hand over a piece of paper to catch the glitter, sprinkle an even layer on the wet part of your nail. Tap excess glitter off. Let nails dry and repeat on second hand.
  3. After waiting a few minutes for the clear coat and glitter to set, brush a coat or two of clear gloss over your nails for a super-slick finish. This will also help to keep glitter on longer!

Happy mani-curing, beauties!
