The Lady Gaga Hair Bow

Lady Gaga is well known for her over the top, jaw-dropping wardrobe and hairstyles. She’s pushed the envelope on numerous occasions that have left us shocked, scared, or just plain confused. However, Gaga has left us with a few styles and trends that are attainable and flattering! One of my favorite Gaga looks is the Hair Bow. This style is so unique and different – you might assume that it’s super complicated and could take an hour+ to complete… wrong! What if I told you this style has only four steps and takes less than ten minutes to perfect? May sound hard to believe, but read below for the proof!

  1. Start with straight hair and brush through to get out any tangles. Gather your hair into a pony tail at the top of your head. The higher the better for the more dramatic look.
  2. When wrapping your hair tie around your ponytail, on the last wrap leave hair in a bun (be sure to leave at least 3-4 inches hanging from the bun!).
  3. Separate your bun in half and bring the hair that hung in front and wrap it to the back and secure with a bobby pin.
  4. Do a little molding to even out both sides and use a few extra bobby pins if needed to make them sit evenly.

Now that you have the steps to this awesome do, you can alter it to your style. You can use all of your hair for a big bow or you can use half of your hair and leave some down at the bottom. You can also angle your bow to the side of your head for a fun look or opt for a lower starting point of the bow for a more subtle style. The possibilities are endless! Just be sure to adjust depending on your hair length. The shorter your hair, the smaller the bow. So what are you waiting for? Go conquer this fun style and be fearless with your hair! After all, we are channeling our inner Gaga!
