Let’s face it: if your hair is naturally curly, getting those perfect curls that are soft and frizz free can be a challenge. I have tried many techniques and many products, and no matter what I did, I would always end up with crunchy, hard, and volume-less curls. I finally came across a diffuser and it forever transformed dealing with my curly hair (struggle no more!).

If you are wondering what a diffuser does, it connects to your hair dryer and reduces the speed of the hot air that is coming out to ensure that the form and bounciness of your curl remains untouched. A diffuser not only keeps the shape of your curl, but also gives your hair volume and dries your hair pretty quickly. This is my hair routine when I decide to wear my natural curls. Make it yours too with these easy steps!

Steps 1 & 2: Start by using a shampoo for natural curly hair that gives your volume and texture. Brush your hair with a wide-tooth comb. Start from the bottom and work your way up. This will prevent unnecessary hair tangling and breakage.

Steps 3, 4, & 5: Separate your hair into two equal parts and add some curl defining cream. Work this cream from your ends to your roots. This will help create and bring out the shape of your curls.

Step 6: Add mouse to your entire head! It sounds like a lot, but it won’t be if you apply properly. Start from the ends and “scrunch” your hair up and down in order to spread the product evenly.

Step 7: Tilt your hair and add some mouse to the top of your hair and spray hair spray with a light hand. Don’t spray too much (you want a soft look, not a hard and “crunchy” look).

Steps 8, 9, 10, & 11: Flip hair up-side down. Grab sections of your hair and place them into the diffuser. Drive the diffuser in an up and down motion so your roots can have some of the heat. Do this by section.

Step 12: When your hair is about 80%-90% dry, flip your hair right-side up and adjust your curls in the position you want them. Add a little bit of hairspray for hold and finish!

Volia! Now look at that amazing hair, miss curly!

Eyebrows play such a big part in the shape and look of your face they should be a priority when doing your makeup. Knowing how to fill them in can make or break the look you are going for. Full eyebrows are a big trend and mastering the look of them can get very tricky so here is an easy step-by-step way to do them.

Brush your eyebrows with a clean mascara wand or an eyebrow brush.

When selecting the color you will be using to fill your brows, always choose a color lighter than your hair color. If you want a defined eyebrow, make a thin line underlining the bottom of your eyebrow with the darker color.

Apply a lighter color to the beginning of the brow.

Use a darker color to fill from the arch towards the end of the brow.

Next, comb your eyebrows upwards. This will help blending the added color, and help to create the naturally full look.

After combing, apply a brow gel to hairs so they stay in place throughout the day/night.

If you want that clean and perfect look get a small amount of concealer and apply it right under your eyebrow line. This will give you a clean and define line.

Voila! There you have it now go show those perfect brows off.

The sock bun has been a trend that is very popular, its easy, fast and makes you look fabulous. There is a lot of different ways in which you can achieve the sock bun and I have tried many ways and I finally found one that works great for me and hopefully it does for you as well.

Step 1. You will need a sock if your hair is long and thick use a long thick sock and if your hair is short then use a short and normal sock. Lay out your sock flat and cut off the toe part(about ¼). Roll your sock down into a doughnut shape.

Step 2 & 3. Brush your hair into a high ponytail if you have long hair and just in the middle if the length of your hair is short. Apply a polish serum to get rid of any flyaways and if you want a sleeker look apply a coin size of gel to your hair.

Step 4. Pull your hair up and pull it through the hole of the sock. Leave the sock on the tips of your hair but allow space for the ends to stick out of the sock.

Step 5. Tuck in the ends of your hair that are sticking into the bottom of your sock. This is when you want to cover the sock with your hair.

Step 6. Once all your ends have been tucked in start rolling the sock down. Make you sure to get a good grasp of your hair by pulling each side at the same time as you are rolling it down.

Step 7 – 10. Once you are done rolling your sock pin your bun down with bobby pins. One on each of the sides, if you feel like it needs to be more secure you can add more bobby pins.

Voila! This look is great for any occasion its not time consuming and looks amazing. You can wear it nice and sleek for any upcoming holiday parties or wear it in those rainy days and pile on your scarf.

Election day is right around the corner. (can someone say less than 48 hours away!) Before you head to your local polling place, master your skill and show off your voting pride with this fun & fashionable “I Voted” mani! (or, for those that are not eligible to vote just yet, you can always support your soon-to-be voting price in this artistic and fashionable way!)

Step 1. Start with applying a base coat. If you want to protect your nails (and for the polish to last longer) – a base coat is a must.
Step 2. Paint all of your nails red except for your ring finger. I’m using “Fifth Avenue” by Essie – it’s a true red with a creamy texture.
Step 3. Apply a deep blue polish to your ring finger. I’m using “Model Behavior” by Sally Hansen. It’s on the lighter side so if you have a deeper blue use it. Let your nails dry for about two minutes before moving on to the next step.
Steps 4-7. Use a white liner nail polish to make a square. Start off by making two horizontal lines and then two vertical lines to connect all the sides of the square.
Step 8. Use a black liner nail polish to create a check inside of the box. Go over it more then once to make the line thicker and straighter.
Step 9. Add gold glitter to the tips of your red nails. The tips do not have to be perfect you’re going for a natural and effortless look.
Step 10. Let it dry for about two minutes and apply a top coat. Top coat is important to maintain your polish longer and to give your nails an extra shine. Tip: dip a Q-tip into nail polish remover to correct any nail polish blemishes around the nail.

Viola! Who said voting was boring? Go rock those patriotic nails that make a statement this Election Day!
